皮膚結締組織與骨科

隨著環境的改善,人類的壽命延長,有越來越多因老化衍生出的健康問題,例如骨質疏鬆以及糖尿病。目前的骨鬆藥大多有副作用而無法長期服用。因此利用疾病動物模式來模擬骨鬆現象,對於找出新的治療方法將有莫大的幫助。另外,以糖尿病來說,大面積的燒燙傷傷口、長期臥床的褥瘡傷口和糖尿病患者傷口不易癒合的問題等,也都是有待解決的困境。


我們目前建議提供的模式動物有:

Diabetic wound healing Three popular models that can be used to study diabetic wound healing: (1) type II diabetic db/db mouse; (2) type I streptozotocin (STZ)-induced C57BL/6J mouse and (3) C57/BL6 mouse induced with high fat diet. The cutaneous wound healing utilizes punching methods to create circular full thickness wounds on the dorsum of mice (critical wound sizes ranges from 7 to 10 mm in diameter)
  • development of diabetic in age of 4-6 months
  • Clinically relevant to diabetic ulcers
  • used to assess re-epithelialization and granulation tissue deposition in an open wound.
